Windows 11 Installation Error Error Code: 0xC1900101 0x40021

I tried upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 using "Check for updates Menu in Settings" and "Windows Installation Assistant" but both fail at the end with the error:

Error Code: 0xC1900101 0x40021

The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_RESPECIALIZE operation

I read a thread about this error and said to generate a new thread because each PC got different solution.

Please Help...

The pc is fully compatible in the pc Health Check WIndows 11 requirements.

Hi Felix,

Uninstall FolderMill, and delete the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\FolderMill".

That should fix the issue.

    Hi,

Sorry I can't seem to run the log collector, it says error, and I didn;t record the error.

And now I have successfully installed the Win11 upgrade.

    Thank you Ramesh
