Visual c++ not installed?

Hello,

I've been having problems like those in the thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-find-vcruntimeminiumx64msi-in-my-files/e580c6fd-b184-4493-8365-f6481458729e

I've tried to do as it is said in the answer, I deleted previously installed version of visual c++ 2015 (there are also versions 2008, 2010, 2012,2013 which I didn't delete and there were non of the versions 2017 or 2019 installed). Then when trying to install the version given in the response (both x64 and x84) the same problem occured. Seemingly I can't install visual c++ because I don't have visual c++.

Please help.

Regards.

I've approached this problem on multiple occasions when trying to install a new program. Recently I've met an issue like this when trying to download Citrix for work purposes and most recently while trying to run a new game (or rather to update Origin to run the game). First two screenshots respond to problem occuring when trying to update Origin (EA). The last one occurs when trying to install version x64 of visual c++ 2015-2019 (same one occurs when trying to install x84 version) from the microsoft page.

Hi, thank you so much for that information, and just to confirm all programs/apps you are trying to install are compatible with Windows 10 right? if yes, kindly follow the steps below:

Method 1. Run system file checker.

On Powershell(admin), copy, paste, and enter each command below:

    sfc /scannow

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once done restart the PC and check.

If none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

    1. go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Select Download Now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

Please try the Program Install/Uninstall troubleshooter.

Download the Program install/uninstall Troubleshooter from Microsoft. https://download.microsoft.com/download/7/E/9/7E9188C0-2511-4B01-8B4E-0A641EC2F600/MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab

    Run the tool, select "Uninstalling"

In the next screen, select a VC++ 2015-2019 or 2022 entry and uninstall it.

Redo the steps and uninstall every VC++ 2015-2019 or 2022 entry shown in the list.
