This is a somewhat odd question to ask as you do not want an operating system to self-destruct.

No, you cannot get diskpart to delete the boot partition. Even the override switch will not persuade the tool.

    Hi Gıoogle,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

Yes, Diskpart can delete the C: drive while the OS is running.

It is important to note that deleting the C: drive will erase all data on the drive, including the operating system.

If you do this you can no longer boot into Windows and the only option is to reinstall Windows

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

No, I mean. While running the operating system. Like Windows is running, not in installation or something.

Sorry for the inconvenience, you cannot delete the partition the system used when you're using Windows

An error message will show saying "The selected volume or partition is in use"

However, if you are using the same hard drive for multi partitions,

For example, if you have an SSD of 500 GB

Partition C which is for the Windows system, is 200 GB, and partition D is 300 GB

you can select partition D and delete it but you cannot delete partition C

    I hope this makes sense

    Best Regard

    Amr

I want to know that: Can diskpart can delete C: drive?

Warning... Webpage is recommending, trying to sell products. Advice on the page is accurate and safe. You do not need to download or purchase anything.

    https://www.diskpart.com/diskpart/delete-partition-4125.html#h1

Summary... "delete partition" will not delete a partition that's in use."delete partition override" will.

Another website providing good info but selling things...

    https://www.easeus.com/partition-master/diskpart-force-delete-partition.html

Just to point out the obvious... diskpart can be very dangerous.

    Don
