I see. If it is from a third party it wouldn't be digital license. Only purchase directly from Microsoft comes in digital license form. In that case, you do need the license key unfortunately. I am sorry.
Wrong version activated
I recently got a new laptop and I currently have Windows 11 Home activated with a digital licence on my Microsoft accaunt. I am pretty sure that, on my previous desktop computer, I used to have a Windows 10 pro that was activated with a digital licence on my same Microsoft accaunt.
Now, why don't I get the 11 pro version?
As soon as I know Windows 11 Home comes pre installed with my new laptop.
Now, is there a way I can upgrade to Window pro?

Was it a purchase from Microsoft or from third party?

2023-02-26T10:54:51+00:00 I purchased the Windows pro licence for my previous computer. But I don't have the key. I guess I lost it. And I sold out my old computer after formatting the hard drive.

Digtal license alone doesn't mean the license is retail and transferrable.
You mentioned you had Windows 10 Pro on your previous desktop computer. Did you purchase Windows 10 Pro license or did that pro version come with the desktop computer? If it came with the desktop, it is OEM license type, which can only stick with that motherboard, meaning the license cannot be transferred.
Or, did the PC come with Windows 10 Home back then and you later purchased the upgrade portion to pro on that PC?
