Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

Unfortunately, the built-in Windows Notepad application does not support changing the language to Chinese or Japanese. Notepad is designed to be a simple text editor and does not have the ability to display characters from different languages. If you need to edit text in Chinese or Japanese, you may want to consider using a different text editor that has support for multi-language text, such as Microsoft Word or a text editor specifically designed for editing text in Chinese or Japanese, such as Notepad++ or Sublime Text.

    Regards.

Try this workaround and check if it will work.

Click format in notepad then click font.

Now check for a font that uses Japanese or Chinese if available then choose it then click Ok.

I have tried the workaround, but is not working. Is it possible to MS to give any hot fix for this issue?
