System Restore Point- Enabling System Protection.

Hi, when I went to make a system restore point, with protection enabled, it showed a warning message (exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle). The message said 'Using system protection on a drive that contains system image backups will cause other shadow copies to be deleted faster than normal'. What does that mean and how do I get rid of that message?

Ah, so is it alright if I make a restore when it says about shadow files deleting faster?

I also don't quite understand how File History works, does it do the same thing as system restore and also have restore for files?

Thanks for the information so far.

Also, I was checking for updates on my laptop and I have about 15 updates pending and it none of them have started, should I close out of settings and go back to check for updates?

File History is windows 10's file backup, which also happens to make Previous Versions available of files. I've given you twice now tutorials that explain File History and Previous Versions. Please read through those before asking any further questions that are answered there.

Tech matters require absolute attention to detail, reading every single word of the tseps given and supporting tutorials, then asking back questions based on the information already given.
