Unable to disable checkbox usage in Windows 11

When File Explorer is open I'm seeing checkboxes and I'm unable to turn checkbox usage off.

Checkboxes stay even if I toggle the item check boxes setting in the show view as noted below.

Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.348)

    Good day,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

It seems that there maybe something wrong with your profile, please try create another admin account to check the issue.

Press WIN+X, run PowerShell as admin, insert the command and press enter.

    net user test /add

    net localgroup administrators test /add

Login with the new test account and check if the checkbox is off.

Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,

I performed the tasks mentioned to create a new "Test" admin user.

When I logged into the "Test" account I see the same results.

I believe this might be something related to the old "Tablet" settings?

Realizing that "Tablet" mode has been removed now from Windows 11.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Good day.

Thank you for updating me with that information.

Please click HERE, then click Download tool now.

After the download is complete, run this tool, choose to create a media for another computer, and then select the ISO file then save as to the path you can find, and wait for the installation.

After the download is complete, you need to find the downloaded ISO file and right-click to open as file explorer. After opening, you will see several folders, run setup.exe in the root directory

Change the installation program of windows-not now, the next step, the next step, a system replacement repair will be done after prompting to keep your files and software

Please back up your personal data before installation.

    Keep us posted.

I downloaded the ISO and performed the steps listed but it didn't resolve the issue.

I also installed the latest Windows Updates but still have the same results.

    Check boxes are still there.
