Bluescreen Code 117

I see this under reliability history, these two errors before a restart. Looking for troubleshooting steps to follow to diagnose what is wrong. Sometimes it happens minutes, sometimes 8+ hours.

    Hi Anthony,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

The minidump file indicates nvlddmkm.sys file as a cause of the BSOD which is related to the Nvidia Graphics card driver.

If you do have an Nvidia graphics card installed on your computer, try to uninstall its driver completely using this DDU free utility, then download/install the latest graphics card driver or a driver that is compatible with your computer from the manufacturer's official website:

    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-dr...

If it did not help, install an older version of the graphics card driver. Sometimes, older versions work more smoothly rather than the latest ones.

Or, you can download GeForce Experience to keep your drivers up to date:

    https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-ex...

If you are overclocking your PC, try running everything (CPU, GPU, system memory) at their stock speeds. See if the issue is still reproducible. Turn off XMP profile or set it to Auto.

If your computer still encounters BSOD, test the RAM with the free utility MemTest86, then run a full 8 pass scan to test your RAM for physical errors:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/14201-memte...

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further assistance.

    Stay safe

I see that every restart is immediately preceeded by "Microsoft GameInput" being "Successful application reconfiguration"

Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Microsoft GameInput. Product Version: 10.1.22621.1011. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation. Reconfiguration success or error status: 0.

It always happens around the same time as the restarts.

I found this other thread where it suggests to delete everything with fire, but I actually have game pass and play with the Xbox app.

Here is a MEMORY.dmp file, I have enabled smaller dumps and can post those when inevitably the next bluescreen occurs.

I bought this computer August 2021, so a little over a year ago. I have no overclocked enabled. I have done several memory tests (no failures), several hard disk integrity checks, uninstalled/reinstalled all my drivers.
