Thank you so much for clarifying and the screenshots! Hours and hours of my life I will never get back, but at least it's solved now, and, while I hate not seeing all my folders, at least not I'm not horribly disturbed by having no fewer than *7* copies of "documents" that syncs to onedrive. Can we go back to XP??? Word Perfect and DOS anyone?!?! Perhaps some day I'll convert to Linux, but not allowed on my work computer. Off the soap box. Thanks for fixing my problem!
Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update
I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.
Thanks for any help.

2024-02-24T10:54:57+00:00 This is another own goal for Microsoft.
Quick Access could always be applied to folders as well as files. It was very useful to be able to pin a folder to Quick Access. The right-click option to pin a folder is still there but it doesn't do anything. Folders do not show in the Home section.
The only option is to create a shortcut to the folder on the desktop.
To add to the confusion, the pin to Quick Access menu is availaable in the right-click dropdown for some shortcuts (e.g. Recycle Bin) where is pointless because they already appear in the left window but it still does nothing. It does not appear in the dropdown for other shortcuts. The whole thing is a badly thought-out mess.

2024-02-24T14:29:05+00:00 You can put folders in quick access er um home as it's called in windows 11! You have to disable view all folders. Look at this reply for how to do so.
