try clearing your recent file list now.
I have tried everything and the only option is to disable it from displaying recent files.
anything i ever opened on my one drive shows up regardless.
\Microsoft definitely ruined it.

I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.
Thanks for any help.

My recent file is no longer there. It what disappeared.
I totally agree! This update just took place on my laptop yesterday and it's totally messed up my flow of doing things. I relied on having those quick access folders on the left hand pane, and now I have to do a lot of fiddling.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
I have the same issue / frustration except that now my Home page will not load. It spins endlessly and never loads my files. I have tried everything. This is MORE than a productivity hit - It has made my new Windows 11 machine a giant paperweight. Thank GOODNESS I saved my WIndows 10 laptop when I uploaded. I will literally have to go back to using my OLD machine because Microsoft has killed Windows 11.
I am more frustrated that we don't have a single method for fixing this, it's just "suck it up" from Microsoft.
Thank you PJ to the K! This was driving me nuts. Turning off "show all folders" fixed it.
