How to fix boot issue without reinstalling windows and without losing all settings app and customization.
13th November I was using my desktop and had a successful shutdown. Next day I started cleaning my desktop by taking apart the graphics card and the PSU.
After I put it all together and hit the power button it boot but stuck at loading Page before windows log in and after few restart it started it's automatic startup repair but after loading for a while it took me to a blank black screen with only my cursor and nothing else instead of showing advanced troubleshooting option or any GUI.
I restarted again but it was same all over and after few restart this time it started disk check so I let it continue. After I come back to see the automatic disk check action it was stuck on the page where it's showing "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected device and press any key".
I assumed that windows boot related file got damaged or something so I tried getting usb bootable drive to repair the boot files.
I started with Upgrade windows but it didn't work from there. And I can't use custom windows because I don't want to lose all my settings customization and apps installed.
Installing a fresh Windows and reinstalling all those apps is a lengthy process which I don't want to choose unless I have no other choice.
So using the installation media I tried going to "Repair your computer" below "Install now" page of windows 10 installation.
From there I tried using cmd to fix boot related files. I couldn't do a system restore from there cause I had no restore point created.
In CMD I tried using the "bootrec /fixboot" command but it said "access denied". I tried using the recovery volume in disk part and assigning a new name and then fixmbr, rebuildbcd and few commands I found online to fix it but still it was failing.
Thanks for the support in advance.
