Problems loading MS Lists??

Hi

I use MS Lists for a number of things and find it pretty useful. However, just in recent weeks I've started experiencing a never before experienced problem which is that the list loads but only about a quarter of it, there's an error message at the bottom (see image). For context, the List I'm using the most hasn't had any structural changes made to it for many weeks - the design of it has remained the same for many, many weeks and all I've been doing is adding more items here and there so that there are more on the list:

The only way I'm managing to clear it is by going into Microsoft Edge, Settings, and clearing the cache.

Now, I'd be ok with this if I had to do it once a week or maybe even once a day, but I'm having to do it multiple times in any session where I'm working with one of these lists - this surely can't be an acceptable 'solution' - which isn't actually a solution?

Is anyone else experiencing this or know of any other ways to address the issue which will address whatever the core issue is?

I'll say in advance, I've no idea how to edit the JSON code but happy to follow instructions!

Many thanks indeed!

Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

Try these fixes for the error:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/quest...

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Fl...

https://www.telerik.com/blogs/what-is-json-how-...

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Using-Conne...

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/fo...

If none of these help then because Lists is normally and overwhelmingly used by organizations, I would ask this at our sister forums for IT Professionals, Q&A forums here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/answers/index.... ?

Microsoft Community is strictly an end-consumer forum. Solutions we give here may conflict with the organization''s Group Policy which we do not use in consumer forums at all. In this case even if you don't use Group Policy it's these forums that will know most about this error.

There are also equally good (and sometimes busier) 3rd party IT Pro forums here:

https://www.techrepublic.com/forums/

https://www.spiceworks.com/

I hope it helps.

    Update.

I read through all the links suggested by Greg and had a good read, then I did the following which I hope may help someone else if they have a similiar issue.

    • I went to the Outlook Live link suggested by Ivan https://outlook.live.com/people/0/
    • I logged out of the account it had taken me to there instead signed in to the account for which all the SharePoints, MS365, MS Lists etc associate
    • I went in to People (note that I actually don't have any contacts showing up in this account under Contacts or Contact Lists, so there wasn't anything to do there)
    • I went to Groups, Owner
    • There were displayed a number of private groups of which I am the Owner
    • I carefully checked each one looking in the Members, Email and Files tabs to see if there were any items or members associated
    • I found that under Files there were a number of documents in the four different Groups that I found, that I was able to download then move elsewhere and then I deleted them from this location so that now there aren't any files at all sitting within the Groups section

I rebooted the machine and currently I'm delighted to say that MS Lists appears to be working fine, no error messages, in the browser and desktop versions - which is brilliant news.

Thank you - to everyone who provided assistance with this.

    Hi Ivan

Yes, I should have said, I've tried the same List in Chrome and also in an In Private window - and it made no difference.

    Many thanks.
