I'm on the same boat, i lost my streak, signed out and in again, didn't came, contacted support, turns out i contacted the wrong support, (Microsoft rewards) and couldn't find any support for the e-tree.
the sad thing is that it has happened twice now, i should have above 100 days streak, does anyone know how to avoid it or where to send an email to see if it can be fixed?
I know it's just a minigame, and the end goal is to plant real trees, but it's something i look forward to everyday, and it bums me to lose that "progress", since I was about to finish my 6th tree 2 days ago with the daily bonuses, now I have to wait around 3 more days.
Again, it's a silly thing, and it ultimately doesn't matter, but man, it was my little achievement of the day ):
