have you even read my first post correctly ? just asking
one core high cpu usage
Hey there, recently I've got a problem that causes only one core to work 100% always and causes my laptop to be slow and sluggish (i did a clean install of Windows 11)
I tried in Linux and the problem persists there too, but the workaround in Linux was unloading the "intel_lpss_pci" kernel module by this command -> rmmod intel_lpss_pci (or blacklisting it in Grub)
in windows, i couldn't find any equivalent for it and i don't know how to find it and disable it
in task manager, it hides behind system interrupt (just like Linux, but in Linux i could trace better, in windows, i guess i don't have that much level of freedom?)
here's whattask manager and CPU cores utilization shows

2022-06-29T06:56:06+00:00 As your problem is appearing in every OS you test, it's most likely to be a hardware issue than a software or driver one.
You said your BIOS is updated, so we can rule that out.
As you are also using an Intel U processor on a Laptop, the issue of overclocking can be ruled out too. Are you running any third-party overclocking tools?
The only thing I can think of are some BIOS settings issues or a hardware defect.
Can you try resetting BIOS settings to default and see if the issue persists?
If that doesn't help, could you check if the CPU temperatures are normal?

2022-06-30T04:35:29+00:00 well, my bios don't have many settings to tinker with, only boot option, etc.
as for CPU temp, yeah it's normal (40-45 idle, 60 in games)
as for defective hardware, my laptop's battery doesn't work. the only thing that comes into my mind is that Windows(or other OS) want to try getting battery info and it can't so it retries in short intervals and gives load on one core and appears as system interrupt (pretty much wild guess tho!)
is there any way to at least see what's the exact thing/module that causing this? like in Linux that i found out it's "intel_lpss_pci" module and I unloaded it and everything went smooth again

2022-07-01T09:32:19+00:00 Please try resetting BIOS settings to default and see if the issue persists.
As for the battery, if it's a removable one, could you remove it and check if the issue persists?
