Windows 11 Location Path problem

Again, DaveM121 already answered my question regarding the mixed paths that I tragically did. It was about the Videos path and Desktop path mixing up and DaveM121 resolved it! Which I am grateful for. Now I'm facing yet another issue.

In my "This PC", I can see the folders. Checking the location path of each folder, there's nothing wrong exactly...

Until I checked the Quick access, and the location path was different!

Even my Downloads folder is in the Videos folder:

This is my Registry Editor if you want to see it.

Thank you for the incoming help!

    Hi Khen,

Okay, this will be a 2 part fix, we will do this for the Documents folder to ensure it works correctly

    1

    Open the Registry Editor again

Double click {F42EE2D3-909F-4907-8871-4C22FC0BF756}, set its Value Data to this and click OK

    %USERPROFILE%\Videos\Documents

Double click Personal, set its Value Data to this and click OK

    %USERPROFILE%\Videos\Documents

Close the Registry editor and restart your PC

    2

Open File Explorer, then right click the Documents folder and select Properties, it now should have a Location tab

Click Restore Default on the Location tab and wait for that folder to move

    Is that successful?

Try this fix, this will remove all shortcuts from the Quick Access area in File Explorer, but not the actual files and folders.

    Open File Explorer.

In the Address bar paste this and press Enter:

    shell:recent\AutomaticDestinations

Delete the contents of the resulting folder

In the Address bar paste this and press Enter:

    shell:recent\CustomDestinations

Delete the contents of the resulting folder

Restart (not shut down) your PC.

Are those folders then gone, you should then be able to pin those correct folders back to quick Access.

    Hi Khen,

That folder is now in the correct location and the references are correct.

We can solve the Quick access problem at the end of this process.

    1

    Open the Registry Editor again.

    2

Double click {7D83EE9B-2244-4E70-B1F5-5393042AF1E4}, set its Value Data to this and click OK

    %USERPROFILE%\Videos\Downloads

    3

Double click {374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B}, set its Value Data to this and click OK

    %USERPROFILE%\Videos\Downloads

    4

Double click My Pictures, set its Value Data to this and click OK

    %USERPROFILE%\Videos\Pictures

    5

Double click {0DDD015D-B06C-45D5-8C4C-F59713854639}, set its Value Data to this and click OK

    %USERPROFILE%\Videos\Pictures

    5

Close the registry Editor and restart your PC

Right click the Pictures folder, select Properties and the Location tab and click Restore Defaults

    Wait for that to complete

Right click the Downloads folder, select Properties and the Location tab and click Restore Defaults

    Wait for that to complete

Please let me know when you have that done, those all should now be in the correct location

    Hi Khen,

I am glad that worked, check in Quick Access does it still show the wrong location in Videos for those 3 folders?

    Hi Dave!

I checked the quick access again:

The other 3 folders that were fixed were now showing different icons in the Quick Access, and it's showing the pop-up "Location is not available" whenever I try to open it. Also checked if each folder has a Location tab, but there's none.
