Downloded-Folder

Hi, I have a self-created issue. I created a new admin account and changed the name of my user folder, no issues there, but then I needed to change it in the register as well and that went well. Restarted the pc and logged into my regular account, no issues. Everything works as it should, except for my folder "Downloaded".

When I click on the pinned folder in the explorer, I get the error message that the place don´t exist. But when I go via start menu and the shortcut I have there, no issues. The pinned shortcut´s icon in explorer have changed from the usual arrow to a regular folder. I have tried to unpinn the shortcut but nothing happens, its still there. Everything else works as it should.

Can someone please help me?

Hi Magnat85,

Please try Method 1 or Method 4 in this article. Method 4 will reset Quick access.

    Hi Magnat85,

Right click the downloads folder that is pinned, can you choose to unpin it from there?

    If you can, unpin it

Then go to the correct Downloads folder in your user folder, right click that Downloads folder and choose to pin that folder.

    Hi Magnat85,

    1

In File Explorer, navigate into your user folder in C:\Users

Does the Downloads folder in there have the correct icon?

    2

If you right click the pinned folder that will not open, and select properties, what is the reported location of that folder?
