Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community.
I am sincerely grateful to you for the patience with which we are considering this issue
The current date is July 18, 2025, and based on official Microsoft documentation, Azure AD B2C (now part of Microsoft Entra) will continue to be supported for existing customers until at least May 2030. This means your applications can remain operational without forced migration or retirement before that date, with no changes to the overall product experience, service level agreements (SLAs), security updates, or compliance commitments.
Existing customers like you can continue creating new tenants or user flows as needed
However, there is a specific impact related to your licenses and features:
- Conditional Access: This feature is available in both Azure AD B2C Premium P1 and P2 licenses.Since it's included in P1 tier (which supports policies based on location, application, user/group membership, and requirements like MFA), it will continue to function without interruption until at least May 2030 for existing tenants.Your "Try Microsoft Entra ID P2" and "Available in Microsoft Entra ID P1 / Microsoft Entra ID P2" references align with this, as the underlying B2C P1 capabilities remain supported.
- Identity Protection: This feature requires Azure AD B2C Premium P2 licenses to enable advanced capabilities, such as risk-based Conditional Access policies, risky sign-in detections, and automated risk remediation.
- Your "Try Microsoft Entra ID P2" and "Available in Microsoft Entra ID P2" indicate reliance on P2 for Identity Protection. While P1 supports basic features, full Identity Protection is P2-only. Importantly, Azure AD B2C Premium P2 will be discontinued for all customers (including existing ones) on March 15, 2026.After that date, P2 licenses will no longer be supported, which could impact applications depending on these advanced risk features. If your application heavily uses P2-specific Identity Protection elements, you'll need to assess alternatives, such as downgrading to P1 (losing risk-based enhancements) or migrating to Microsoft Entra External ID.
In terms of overall license functionality until 2030:
- Azure AD B2C Premium P1 licenses and features will work without changes for existing customers until at least May 2030.
- Azure AD B2C Premium P2 licenses will only work until March 15, 2026, after which they (and dependent features like full Identity Protection) will be unavailable.
Microsoft recommends contacting your account representative for personalized guidance, including migration plans to Microsoft Entra External ID (the next-generation platform), which offers similar or enhanced features but is not a direct rename or replacement for B2C. No immediate action is required if your timelines align with 2030, but planning for the P2 discontinuation in 2026 is advisable to avoid disruptions.
