Microsoft Teams Error 500 cannot reach https://teams.microsoft.com

Hello!

I'm having difficulty with the Teams client.  I can login to the website teams.microsoft.com from this workstation, and can login from the app and the website on another workstation on the same network.  However on my workstation I cannot use the teams client.  It starts up and then gives me an error and in the left hand side of the screen it says this error pasted below..  Not sure what to make of it, I have uninstalled, it deleted the folder from Appdata\local restarted, and re-installed.  I've even turned off the Windows Firewall to ensure that a rule wasn't causing the error.

Any thoughts?

Hi Johnwildes,

According to the error, please try the following 2 methods to give it a shot:

1.    Go to your control panel>manager credential> clear the credential (cache). Then re-start your Team client.

2.    Go to the System Tray and right-click on the Teams icon

Select Log Out

The app will go through the motions of logging off and restart, then ask for your credentials. Enter your O365 credentials.

Here I say Office 365 credentials as Microsoft Teams can be signed into with a Microsoft account credentials.

Regards,

Alan

This keeps happening. While logging out and then back into the app is a workaround, why does the app keep doing this in the first place? ;) Would be great to not have to do this every week.
