I have two lap tops and one desktop where I use Visual Studio running on Windows 10.

Each version of Studio has the same add-ons.

My desktop is the only place where I have a problem with the letter c.

I removed all my add-ons. I removed and reinstalled Visual Studio.

What else can I try?

    Hello @Bud Hines ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please also try “devenv /ResetSettings” command(type and run in Developer Command Prompt for VS 2019). If this doesn’t work, please try “devenv /SafeMode” command to launch VS under safe mode and test to see if it works.

Feel free to let me know the results.

    Best Regards,
    Tianyu

Hi, I apologize, I thought I responded here but I instead responded in stack overflow. I posted in both.

I kept watching myself type the letter c and I finally saw a note at the bottom of the page that said c entered pls enter the rest of the command!

So I went to file --> preferences --> keyboardshortcuts ---> and the command was on a line that started with C where it appeared that I was trying to create a keybinding to lookup CFDOCS.

I removed that particular command and the problem went away.

Unfortunately, I caused my issue. I could not understand why I had the issue on one computer and not the others.

    Thank you for your help.

I find that writing to others about my issues helps me step back and think through the problem.

I hope this post helps someone else.
