Microsoft forms not syncing to the excel workbook stored in teams.

I have a group set up on Teams for managers to use. Each manager has a form to fill out daily to ensure certain checks have been done, the forms are all created using Microsoft forms.

I have also set up a flow that is automated to run when a new form response is submitted, then get the response details and then add a row to the excel sheet.

I then have a second flow that will check the file metadata and send an email to the manager if the form hasnt been completed by 10:00 but the issue im having is that the excel sheet doesnt seem to be actually updating, the flow runs as soon as the form is submitted and 20-30 seconds later i can see the file last edited time for the spreadsheet in teams has updated but when i open the spreadsheet it then does the sync and only loads the responses after i actually open the spreadsheet which means that when the flow runs to get the metadata it looks like the file hasnt been edited so the email still goes out at 10:00 even if the form was filled out.

I have checked all of the flows etc and no issues there.

    Dear Mark_614,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. I am happy to help you

I read your thread carefully. I understand that the situation you mentioned is that the content that the first workflow added to the workbook is synced only after you open the Excel file. If you do not open the file, the second workflow cannot properly recognize that the data has been changed.

I don't think it has anything to do with the process you created. It's more like PowerAutomate didn't recognize the changes or the changes had to sync after opening the file. Given this situation, I'm afraid you'll need to check Excel and PowerAutomate activity logs to find out exactly why.

Thank you for understanding that I as a forum moderator do not have the permissions and resources to access the server side to help you further investigate this issue.

In this situation, I am sorry and recommend you to connect with the related development team where they can check the internal sources and investigate the issue further.

So, I request you to connect with your IT admin of your organization (How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support) and ask them to raise a new service request from the Microsoft 365 admin center so that the related development team will connect with you and investigate the issue further.

Note: I apologize for redirecting you to related development support team because the moderators in this community are limited with the resource for further investigation and to get a quick resolution to your problem, I requested it.

Thanks for your cooperation. I wish you all the best.

Wish you a merry Christmas in advance.

    Sincerely,
