Is there an official Microsoft Teams app available for the Apple Watch?

I am using an Apple Watch and would like to know more about the functionality of Microsoft Teams on this device. I used to received the call on the iWatch and I'm not receiving anymore, only messages. I have a few specific questions:

  1. App Availability: Is there an official Microsoft Teams app available for the Apple Watch? I’ve heard that it might not be supported anymore, but I used to have some functionality before. Can anyone confirm its current status?
  2. Notifications: I receive notifications for Teams messages on my watch, but not calls. Are there any settings I should adjust to improve notification handling or to enable more interactive features?
  3. Third-Party Apps: Are there any recommended third-party apps without admin rights? (like WatchTeams without admin rights) that provide better integration with Microsoft Teams on the Apple Watch? If so, how do they compare in terms of functionality and user experience?
  4. Troubleshooting Issues: If anyone has faced issues with notifications or syncing between the Teams app on iPhone and the watch, what troubleshooting steps did you find effective?

I appreciate any insights or experiences you can share regarding using Microsoft Teams on the Apple Watch. Thank you!

    Dear Roger,

Thank you for your detailed response. While I understand that there is no official Microsoft Teams app for the Apple Watch at the moment, I wanted to emphasize the practicality of such functionality for those of us working at UNHQ. The ability to receive Teams call notifications directly on the Apple Watch would greatly enhance efficiency and accessibility during our busy schedules.

At the very least, this function should be available for those of us using the full Microsoft 365 environment in professional settings. There is currently no equivalent tool that matches the Apple Watch’s convenience for this purpose, making it an essential feature to consider.

I appreciate the suggestion to submit feedback, and I will ensure that my input reaches the product development team. I hope this feature will be prioritized in future updates, as it would be a significant improvement for professionals in dynamic environments.

Thank you again for your assistance.

    Best regards,
    Sergio Arduino

    Hi Sergio Arduino

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused you. Based on the description, I understand that you would like to know if there is an official Microsoft Teams app available for the Apple Watch.

Unfortunately, there is no official Microsoft Teams app available for the Apple Watch. This is why you might have noticed a reduction in functionality, such as not receiving call notifications anymore. Previously, there might have been limited support, but it seems that recent updates have removed this functionality.

While there's no current Teams app, future updates from Microsoft could introduce Apple Watch compatibility. Keep an eye on Microsoft's Teams updates for any announcements. Please see Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams Blog | Microsoft Community Hub for latest updates on Microsoft Teams.

We do understand your concern about this feature that how it helps you to improve your efficiency in such daily busy work schedule but as it is related with Teams product design, so it is strongly recommended to submit your valuable feedback directly to Microsoft product development team by either go to Help from your dedicated App > submit Feedback or by posting on Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) for feature requests.
