Cannot backspace in MS Loop - deletes my line of text.

As I tried typing in MS loop, I cannot backspace as it puts my entire line of text into a "pending" state. Once I press anything else, the line of text is deleted.

How can I ensure it works as regularly in typing as Word or Google Doc?

I tried it on a few devices and it works the same.

    Hi Shankar, this is Bryll

Thank you for taking the time to write us in the Microsoft Community.

I have personally checked and researched extensively on the issue you have described with using backspace in deleting text in Microsoft Loop. After looking into it, we have arrived at the same outcome on our side. It shows that the continuous backspace is designed by default to remove the entire letters of a sentence, but good thing there is another way around it to use backspace without getting all letters in your sentence be deleted at once.

First: Point the mouse cursor after the text that you wish to remove then press Enter key once then do a backspace which should individually remove letters from your sentence.

Second: You can use your mouse cursor to highlight the letters or words you wish to remove before pressing backspace which allows to delete the highlighted letters or words only and not the entire sentence.

Additionally, to quickly obtain feature support, it is recommended that you could post your sincere suggestions or feedback on Loop · Community (microsoft.com) or Loop Built-in Feedback then share the feedback link which you post in a reply here for other users to raise their own votes. These are the official channels for sending feedback or suggestions to Microsoft developers.

It's something in Edge that is causing the issue. I went into Google Chrome and I can backspace as normal. Try again in chrome and you should be good to go.

    Hi Bryll,

Thanks for taking the time to look into it. For starters, it seems to have resolved once I created a new doc, and use chrome instead of edge. So it has resolved itself.

Regarding your point, is there any reason why this was designed? It was not continuous backspace, I just tried a single backspace and it would occur as soon as I tried to enter a new letter/number. Perhaps a glitch?

I'm having the same issue in the desktop app. Quite frustrating. Only workaround has been to not make any mistakes. :) Please help because I make tons of mistakes. I want to use this product, but I'm getting a bit frustrated. Thanks
