Hello,
I am new to Azure and have set up a virtual machine. Hoping someone can answer some basic questions for me.

1) In what states are West US 1, 2, 3, 4? Are there any VM in Las Vegas?

2) Can I scale the machines cpu and memory and hard drive? If so how?

3) Can I get a static IP? If so how?

4) Is there a marketplace that I can add 3rd party software such as Cpanel?

Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Armen Geo ,

    1) Here is a map of the Azure Regions: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/global-infrastructure/geographies/

    2) After the VM is deployed you can resize the VM as you like. Just be aware for resizing the VM will be stopped .
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/resize-vm
The disk can be increased in size as well: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/expand-os-disk

    3) A static private IP of a VM can be set this way: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-network/virtual-networks-static-private-ip-arm-pportal#retrieve-private-ip-address-information-for-a-vm

    4) There is the Azure Marketplace where you get pre-configured VMs from 3rd party vendors. From cPanel are some offers in the Azure Marketplace available.

If you click on Create a new VM will be created based on a cPanel VM image.
