Outlook android app inbox empty

Over the last week the outlook android app on my phone no longer syncs any emails to my inbox. The message is "You have reached inbox zero."  if I log in to Outlook.com all my emails are there, add they are when I use Outlook desktop. 

I have tried uninstalling and re-adding my account and the issue remains. I may have to look for another mail app unless this can be fixed as the app is currently useless to me.

    Hi,

    Could you try removing and adding the account again, check if you still face the same issue?

    Yes, I have done that a couple of times and also had to do this when I reinstalled the app. 

    The error has now changed, see screenshot. It had been like this for four days with no change.

    Same issue here. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple time. Can't seem to sync though. Everything else works fine on my phone, so it's definitely an app problem.
