I'm angry frustrated by something that should be so simple, but I can't get an answer.

If you were to ask me do I have an outlook account...I'd say I have 3...3 .live email accounts.

PROBLEM: Someone (I know) sent me a new outlook business address email account. I fired it up...I can't send or receive emails...but that's not my problem.  Somehow I activated my "Default Email" setting and this is my only email address I can use to answer others emails (when outside of outlook)...since I can't email out I can't get help

ULTIMATE QUESTION(s):  How do I find this page? I have no idea where this "outlook page" is, do I need to set up an microsoft or outlook account I don't know about?  Is this the page

I don't know how to get to the page with "file, account settings, settings...email tab and close? EVERY how-to online tells me to do this, none tell me where it is? I don't want a default email....I want to send emails from each email location where I am doing business/personal at the time.

I hope this makes sense...THANK YOU!

Change your default email account

  1. Select File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  2. From the list of accounts on the Email tab, select the account you want to use as the default account.
  3. Select Set as Default > Close.

Is this below correct to fix my problem, how do I get to "file etc...

Thank you again!

Am sorry but am really having a problem understanding what exactly it is you are asking about after looking at your last 3 screenshots.

Where does the "default email" (from your original post) fit into this? Or to ask this another way - what exactly is the problem?

Your first screen shot (with File, Home etc...)

    Have never seen that page...

Not sure what you mean by "never seen that page" <File, Home, etc> is the standard page to use the Outlook desktop for anything to do with email and is the page that Outlook opens up to when it's started. However, it really doesn't matter since you are obviously not asking about anything related to Outlook desktop - at least not from the descriptions so far.
