Authenticator app does not send code

When I try to authenticate the account for work it says to verify identity the only option is to approve request from Authenticator app but the code is never shown of my mobile device.

Then it shows cant authenticate from the app right now? Get a code a different way.

I click on get code a different way and the only options are authenticating through the authenticator app which has not worked and sending a verification code to the app which again doesn't work.

Ive already uninstalled and deleted account from the app.

Why doesn't it work?

    First, I need to double confirm are you using Microsoft 365 Business exchange online email account ? and do you have Microsoft 365 global admin privilege?

    For your scenario, if you are using Microsoft 365 Business exchange online email account and if you are not Microsoft 365 global admin, you may need to contact them in your organization. They can manage authentication related settings from their side for user account.

    Note: above information is applicable for Microsoft 365 Business standard / Enterprise / Education subscription email account.
