Where is the view message source option for Outlook gone?

Up until a very recent "patch", there was a "view message source" option on the right click menu - without having to open the email. This is now gone.

This functionality is essential for detecting phishing emails. Who was the genious that thought it was a great idea to remove it?

And How the hell can I view a message source withotu actually opening the email (and triggering any embeded links that allow tracking/trojans)?

    Microsoft, stop taking features out.

    Put this back.

    Put VBA back.

    Stop trying to "appify" everything.

Stop breaking stuff, it makes me want to leave Windows entirely.

I don't know if this works across all versions and it's not a logical place to put it, but on my version of Outlook (Windows Desktop), I can find the options here:

    1. Open the e-mail, e.g. by double clicking it
    2. Go to the Message tab
    3. Look for the More move actions button in the Move section
    4. Select Other actions
    5. Select View source

    Keyboard "shortcut": Alt+HA1OS

This does not show the whole email including attachments. It shows the header only.

It doesn't include attachments, but it's not only the header either. In fact the headers are not shown here, only the HTML source:

       ...

This is the content of the mail
        ...

If you want to see the headers, as someone pointed out, you can find these under:

    • File
    • Properties
    • Internet headers

    Read the initial post.

"Up until a very recent "patch", there was a "view message source" option on the right click menu - without having to open the email. This is now gone."

The first step you supply is what completely violates security.
