Fraud Possible Microsoft Hacking Issue!

Good afternoon,

My name is Erika, and one of our customers is a client of yours (AXXXXXXXX Associates). This morning, I googled "Microsoft Website Support," and there was a Support number listed below the "Support" heading under your name on your Google Card, BUT our IT department informed us that you do not, in fact, have a contact number for support.

I was initially reaching out because we needed the ******@aspiXXXXXg.com email name updated. The account has the name Catherine Kirchner on it still, and this employee no longer works here. We would like the name changed to "Aspire Support," upon telling the individual who had a heavy accent and called himself "Kevin Cooper," at the telephone number 1-80XXXX1-6191 and gave me the employee ID 3XXX8, with a ticket # of D3XXXXH he explained to me that we are actively being hacked and that he could help me with the name change, needed further information from me, and that we would need to speak to "a level 7 technician."

Our IT department told me that this number has been used in Amazon scams.

I thought it prudent to tell you immediately that this had occurred so no one is hacked/scammed or otherwise affected. As it stands, we believe our clients' accounts to be secure, but they have their internal team reviewing them, and we have advised them to change all passwords.

Thank you,

Aspire Support

PS, we still need that name change, thank you.

Did you contact Microsoft support or any other support team?

Looks like you have contacted wrong support team as Microsoft support.

If your client is Microsoft 365 Business user and they have global admin privilege, they can open service request within admin center to get support from proper support team. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/get-help-support?view=o365-worldwide

This is correct Microsoft phone support document: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/support-contact-info?view=o365-worldwide

    This global phone support number:
