    Hi Robert,

Thank you for reaching out to this forum. I'm Utkarsh and as a fellow Microsoft user, I'm here and ready to help you today.

I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

    1. What is the type of account you are using? Is it an MN3656 work/school account or a Microsoft/personal account
    2. Is this happening to all emails or to specific senders?

Here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try in the meantime:

    1. Check SMTP Server Settings: Verify that the SMTP server settings for your outgoing mail server (SMTP) are correct. Ensure that the server address, port number, encryption method (SSL/TLS), and authentication details are accurate.
    2. Update Outlook: Ensure that your Outlook application is up to date. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve such errors.
    3. Restart Outlook: Close and reopen Outlook to refresh the application and potentially resolve any temporary glitches causing the error.
    4. Re-add your TWC Account in Outlook: If the above steps don't work, try removing and re-adding your TWC account in your Outlook application. This can sometimes refresh the connection and resolve configuration issues.

    I am NOT a Microsoft Agent/Employee.

I hope this is helpful! Best Regards, Utkarsh

Yes, I have spent hours and all settings are similar between old pc and new pc for the account. I have tried hundreds of options and spoken to my email server support for an hour. They and I believe it is an Outlook issue, also why would old outlook work differently than new outlook on my new pc? Also why would old pc outlook work differently than new pc? Refreshing and restarting does not change the behavior. You don't add anything new to the diagnosis but thanks for trying. I don't understand how to insure that the twc account has proper settings, I can only see what I enter in the setup, but they work fine on the old pc with this email account, so it MUST be something specific to my new windows 11 Outlook software. This is a personal email account that has worked fine for years on my old pc win 10 with old outlook (simple) application for email.

    Hi Robert,

Apologies for the inconvenience, but Unfortunately, I don't have any further troubleshooting to offer.

There are many knowledgeable users active on the forum and I hope that someone else can offer further insight on your issue.

    Warm Regards, Utkarsh

I'm in exactly the same boat. Really frustrating to have a new PC & unable to send emails on it!

I have the same problem with a uwclub e mail address which has worked fine for 20 year+. This must be an Outlook issue and they need to resolve it quickly!
