Hello,

I need to save my entire Outlook mailbox to a .pst file. I know it was possible with the previous version, in File>Open and export>Import or export, but I cannot find the appropriate tab in the new version of Outlook. What can I do ?

Thank you a lot

    Hello Jeanne_C13,

    Good day!

I have found more information upon further research on this issue! The initial version of PST support in the new Outlook for Windows is scheduled to start rolling out in March 2025. This will allow users to open and read emails within .pst files, although it will be read-only and limited to Mail items initially.

You can find more information about this feature and its current limitations in the Microsoft Roadmap -Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365. I've included the Feature ID and details below for your reference:

    Feature ID: 399467

    Product: Outlook

    Platform: Desktop

    Release phase: General Availability

Thank you again for your feedback, and I'm glad I could provide you with this update.

    Sincerely

    Eleni | Microsoft Community Moderator.

    Good day!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you’re trying to export your entire Outlook mailbox to a PST file, but you’re having trouble finding this option in the new version of Outlook. Currently, the new Outlook for Windows doesn't support exporting data to a .pst file. This feature is coming soon. However, please note that the new Outlook is still in preview/development, and many features will be added based on customer feedback.

We do understand your concern about this feature and how it helps you to improve your efficiency in such a daily busy work schedule. Still, as it is related to Outlook product design, it is strongly recommended to submit your valuable feedback directly to the Microsoft product development team by either going to Help from your dedicated App > submit Feedbackor by posting on Outlook · Community (microsoft.com) for feature requests.
