Microsoft outlook and microsoft authenticator loop

Hello all,

While getting my new phone, I transferred everything from my old phone to my new one. But I forgot to log out my authenticator and resetted my phone because I thought I was finished with everything. Now on my new phone, I want to log-in on my e-mail, but it needs a code from my authenticator. But when I want to log-in on my authenticator it also needs a code. Now I am in a loop.
Nothing I tried has worked, new password, sending a code to sms, everyhing will send my to my authenticator where I can't log-in as well.

Hopefully someone has found an answer to this.

Best regards,

Mark

    Dear Mark Schut

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand your situation and needs. But since there is no separate support for Microsoft Authenticator in the Microsoft community. You can refer this link to ask questions or learn more about Microsoft Authenticator. Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Microsoft Authenticator - Microsoft Q&A

Do you know your password? If so, you will need to pass your password before logging into your account. Select I can't use the authenticator right now when asked to verify the authenticator.

The system will ask you to log in by other authentication methods, and if you pass, you can log in successfully. If you are unable to authenticate by other means, you can choose between Show More Authentication Methods and I don't have any of these authentication methods

The system will ask you to add a new verification method and enter a thirty-day restriction period. After the thirty days have passed, you can update your account's secure authentication method and use it as normal, you can refer to this link for more information.

If you don't know your password and can't access the security verification information tied to your account. You can try to recover your account via the recovery form.

You need to use a newly registered Microsoft account or an available Microsoft account to restore your account by filling out the form.

You can find the recovery form button at the following link.
