How to fix "Try another verification method, that verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method."

I can’t log in to my email address now. My phone number is the only way I can log in. I have tried different devices and the message is still the same.

I saw my log in activity that someone logged into my email address account. I was in a very hurry to change my password and refreshed couple of times while doing so. After I tried to log in again, it says my password is incorrect and I know the hacker has changed my password. Now, when I tried to sign in it’s says my two factor verification: Try another verification method. That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method.”

I just want to know when can I use my two factor verification again? Or the error message will remain like that? I don’t have another method to log in.

    Dear Valentina Tan,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

If you encounter a prompt on the two-step verification screen of your account:

Then it is possible that the account is in an abnormal state or there is a problem with the current device's network environment. We recommend that you change the IP of the network where your account is registered or attempt to connect to a different network, and then access the Change Account Password page using the Edge browser.

Also, this error prompt you describe usually appears on the account lock unlock page, which requires you to use your phone number to get a security code, instead of the two-step verification page. So just in case you accidentally get the situation wrong, I want to remind you that if this is the case, you need to use the phone number that belongs to the place where the account is registered to unlock the account. The same method mentioned above applies.

If you want to talk to the online technical support for questions about your account, you can follow the steps below: Contact - Microsoft Support

    1. Log in to another available Microsoft account (Make sure you sign in with your personal Microsoft account, not your work and school account, or you won't see option 3、4、5).
    2. Enter MSA to search and click " contact Support" at the bottom of the page.
    3. Under Products & Services, select "Other Products".
    4. Under Categories, select "Manage account Security" and click Confirm.
    5. Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

we already tried that. that's why we are here...

MICROSOFT doesn't want to cooperate in addressing these issues and saying "Help us reduce SPAM".

IF these recovery methods work. YOU WILL NOT HAVE SPAM ACCOUNTS!.
