Outlook search not working

Folks - when I use the drop down for search where there are boxes for from, body, subject, etc and I enter in the fields like Mike in from and outing in subject, I get perfect results. This is the syntax it created

from:mike subject:outing

However, if I just copy paste this exact syntax in the search box later, i get no results. Very strange. How do i fix this

    According to my test in my outlook365(version 2106(Build 14131.20278 Click-to-Run)), the search results containing this condition can be displayed successfully when I search by copying the same field in the search box. What's the version of your Outlook? (File > Office Account > About Outlook). Please make sure you have upgraded your Outlook to the latest version.

    In order to display the search results normally, please make sure that you select the same account when you search by copying the fields and when you search by inputting the criteria in from and subject. Based on my experience, when there are several accounts in the profile, if I select other account when I type the same field for search, the search result will be displayed as no result.

    Excluding the above factors, if your problem still exists, do other people around you also encounter this problem? If the problem only occurs in a specific client, considering the impact of the damage of outlook client, it is recommended that you could try to fix the outlook program to check if there are some differences.
