FindTime - "Unable to send verification code" for internal users

When I use the scheduling poll feature and have "Require attendees to verify their identity" turned on as the default setting, does not allow me to edit change the poll. Instead of logging me on - it generates a "Couldn't send the verification code" error. It shouldn't - it should just log me on (since I am in internal user). I don't see any way or location to adjust settings or potentially what the problem is.

    Hello TPolk-3066,

Thank you for contributing to the Microsoft community. We are happy to help you!

Based on your description I understand you are getting an error message "Couldn't send the verification code" when you try to edit the poll. To investigate this issue I advise opening a service request in the Microsoft 365 admin center for this issue to be checked from the back end. This case requires the technical support team to collect some logs to investigate the root of this issue. As we belong to the community, we have limited permission, so it is suggested to open a ticket with the Microsoft Technical team, so they can check remotely and assist you further. At this point, I highly appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.

We look forward to your response. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Microsoft Community Moderator

I think it is just a bad design. This happens for me too when trying to click on the voting link for a poll I set up myself. Instead I have to go to that page via this link; https://outlook.office.com/findtime/dashboard and then I can edit and vote the poll. It becomes somewhat less practical if you have a lot of polls pending though.

As long as the other participants can use the link to vote, it's workable...
