    Hello Ajmal K,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Regarding your issue, I would like to confirm some details with you. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

    1. Which version of Outlook are you using? What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support
    2. How are you sharing the Excel file? Is it as an attachment?
    3. Can I understand your issue as being unable to copy data from the preview window in Outlook, but able to do so after downloading and opening it in the Excel application?

I look forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,

Thank you for providing the additional information. It seems that the issue is not caused by the browser and appears to be specific to your account.

    • Could you please tell me the domain of the account you are having issues with?
    • When you access Outlook Web, does the address show as outlook.live.com or outlook.office.com?

By the way, if you select the cells with your mouse, can you see the copy option when you right-click?

    Hello Ajmal K

Good day! Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community. We'll be happy to help!

We are very sorry to hear about the inconvenience this may have caused. Based on the information you provided; we have discussed your situation with a member of our team and would like to share more specific guidance.

The current scenario requires Microsoft Support to diagnose. Microsoft's back-end support team should check the advanced logs. Front-line technical support engineers may also have specific support teams investigate some specific situations further.

Due to the limited permissions and access resources of forum moderators, it is not possible to collect certain types of log information in public forums and protect the privacy of user data for this reason. After diagnosing the situation, the technical support team will be able to provide you with information that is possible from their point of view.

For the standard procedural information provided above, your organization's Office 365 global administrator may need to contact the Office 365 support team on the backend via an open service request so that they can diagnose this specific scenario with some additional technical resources.

For this standard procedure, the official documentation referenced by the global administrator is as follows: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn (online option).

You can also call MS Support via: - Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

Note: If you are an end user, you may need to contact your Office 365 global administrator in your business organization to contact a support engineer for further processing.

Important: If your organization's Office 365 Business/Business/Education subscription is that of a federated partner or reseller, and your global administrator can't open the service request, you may need to contact your reseller's support provider to help the global administrator open the service request. The Office 365 support team then participates in the service request that is created.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us. Thank you very much for your valuable time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Shajia Afrin | Community Moderator
