Whenever I try to open a Microsoft Office file or application I receive the error that "microsoft office client virtualization handler has stopped working" When I try to uninstall the Microsoft office program or the Click to run option I get the same error. No option appears that allows me to attempt to repair the file. I had been using the free trial and had purchased the full program, but this error is also not allowing me to update or install the download I purchased.

Refer the article below to uninstall traces of Office 2010 from the computer.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218

Note: In the article replace Office 12 by Office 14 for Office 2010. Read the disclaimer before modifying the registry.

I am having the same problem, but when I go to the link I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing.  This problem started when I downloaded the trial of Office 2010.  Unfortunately I can't uninstall it because I keep getting the same message.  Can you offer a solution?
