Project 2013 - Visual Reports Run Error

Stats:

Windows 8 Pro

Office 2013 Pro

Visio 2013 Pro

Project 2013 Pro Standard

I'm using the Microsoft template "Earned Value" and get an error when I try to run any Visual Report off this file (or any other) that says

An Unknown error has occurred.

An error occurred and the requested action could not be completed at this time.

I've uninstalled everything, reinstalled everything, run the Repair and Fix It programs, and just did all of that for the third time but installed starting with Project, Visio, then Office and still get the same error.

Anyone else?

    Hi,

I am also getting an error with the Visual Reports in MS Project 2013 Standard.

It gives an error that "Excel is busy...".

Have tried a number of solutions but nothing seems to work.

Does somebody has a solution for this one.

    Thanks,

    Ashish

I run Office 365 and Project 2013 without issues.  Are you updated to the latest service pack for Project 2013 - SP-1?  Have you tried a repair on Project 2013?

I don't think it's fully compatible with Office 2013. Same for 2010 (reinstalled it) when I try to run a visual report that needs Excel or Visio it says I need to install office 2003 or higher for it to run the report.

    This is really annoying Microsoft.

I've just bought Project 2013 Standard and have the same problem as yours. I saw some posts on similar problems with 2010 and tried to fix it based on suggested solutions. The fix for 2010 didn't work for 2013 (at least not for me).
