Original Title: "Word Feld Datum falsch"
Moderator Note: Manually merged duplicate (English) thread
Hi there,
could you help me with this:
when I insert a field for the accurate date over the insert field:date function, in some documents the wrong date is inserted.
Sincerely,
Chris
Hallo!
Vielen Dank!

Is it possible that the fields are different? You should view the field codes (Option F9 or Word > Preferences > View > Show > Field codes) and compare them. There are several switches within fields, as well as various fields that can give you dates.
Another thing: fields are usually updated by Word. If you want a field to remain unchanged after you insert it, select it (or select the whole document) and press Command Shift F9 to convert it to static text.
Depending on your System Preferences, you may need to also press the Fn key together with F9 in the above shortcuts.
Hi Christoph,
We indeed all get notifications for the reply you posted.
I know there is no forum in German. The same applies for French. There are only forums in English actually.
I created a new thread on this very topic on the Answers Feedback forum and I would strongly encourage you to post in the thread in support of my request for forums in other languages:

Yes, may system date is correct. "Some documents" means, that I do use invoices. I save them. When the same customer is with me the next time, I open the last saved invoice. Within this invoice, a word document, I have twice inserted the field "insert accurate date" (I do not know, if this term is the right translation for the german word terms "Feld" und "aktuelles Datum einfügen".). Now it happens to me, that within the same document I use the field command date twice. The upper field date creates the wrong date (date of the achievement), the lower the right date (date of exposing the invoice to the customer). But there are other invoices, where the same doing works correctly.
Thank you all for the heretofore answers. First I wrote my question on the german website. Later I realized, that there is no "Office for Mac"-section on the german website. Therefore my question was in German, but was automatically forwarded to the american section. Thank you all for yet answering a German question, I am really surprised about your endeavors.
What I do not know next, is, if I am replying now, do all the people who have answered me so dedicatedly, get the answer or do I have to answer each separate?
sincerely and hoping for better understanding of my problem now,
Chris
Hallo Christoph!
