Adding Custome Domain (google domain) using the Azure Active Directory portal

I have a google domain. I am trying to add that domain using AAD but verification is failed after 72 hours.
In Google Domain -> DNS , it has below text box for new records

  • Host Name
  • Type
  • TTL
  • Data

to use my custom domain with Azure AD, I have taken below TXT record as mentioned in azure

Host Name - @
Destination Point - MS=ms60417497
TTL - 3600

Now in Google domain Host name is accepting as @ so i kept it blank, i have added 3600 in TTL and added destination point in Data text box.

Am i making any mistake?

    Hello @Moulindu Mapa ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I don't see any mistake in above TXT record that you created. Are you getting any error from Azure portal?

However, could you please use the Nslookup command-line tool (Method 2 from this article ) or Google Admin Toolbox to check whether the DNS TXT record reflecting as you added from domain provider:

    Example:
    116337-image.png

If you see appropriate TXT records then try to use AzureAD PS cmdlet way to verify domain which would provide us reason for failure.

Here are some major scenarios with domain verification and their solution, let us know if any of them is your case :

    • Common verification issues
    • 2812447 "Sorry, we can't find the record you created" error message when you try to verify a domain in Office 365
    • 2812454 "Can't verify domain" error message when you try to verify a domain in Office 365
    • 2812881 Error message when you try to verify a domain in Office 365

    Hope this helps.
