Text in Word displaying lines between paragraphs

Word is displaying a line in each and every change of paragraph. Even if I disable the Show/Hide option, the line is there. What lines are these (pointed by red arrows)? I do want the limits of text displayed but I don't want these lines. Please waiting for your prompt answer

I didn't mean to imply that using Spacing Before/After would get rid of the lines, just that there would be fewer of them (no lines around empty paragraphs).

I actually use Word 2003 for most production work, Word 2010 when .dox/.dotx format is required. Both have their merits; there are many features I really like in Word 2010, but I'm still more comfortable (and efficient) in 2003. I have Word 2007 and 2013 installed only for reference in answering user questions.

It isn't going to be corrected. MS does not see it as a problem. Stefan Blom provided a document-specific workaround in this thread on March 4, 2015. I've posted a Word 2013 template with this attribute set in the Templates and Documents section of my Downloads page. Documents created in Word 2013 using that template will display the full-page margins text boundaries. It has a read-me document that links back to the thread.

I agree with EddoAmmo.  This is a lame answer as using spaces in place of paragraphs is not an option.  Perhaps MS needs to get new beta testers who are real users of the applications.  In the past, text boundaries only showed the margins and table edges.  This made the tool useful.  Now it is broken and having it fixed would benefit power users.  Paragraphs are not text boundaries so there should be no line between the paragraphs.

As a long time user and supporter of MS products for creating documents I am really becoming disappointed in the changes that are being made.  It appears that supporting power users is being pushed aside to support the casual user.  While it is OK to support the casual user to sell products, the more that the power users are let out in the cold, the more they will switch to other means for document creation.

I hear you. There are several useable alternatives out there now, Office isn't the only game in town.

As a Beta Tester, I can assure you that we have taken Microsoft to task over a number of changes that they have made, including this issue in particular.  Unfortunately, in this case, Microsoft's response was that the way in which Text Boundaries worked in earlier versions was not the way that it was supposed to be and no amount of objections to the new arrangement had any influence on them.
