Problem activating visio 2013 using kms

I hope this is the correct location for this question.  I am very new to KMS servers and using them.  I have set one up on a Server 2012 box and have Server 2008 and 2012 kms keys in there.  They work great and the new servers i spin off are licensed right away.  What i am having trouble with is licensing a Visio 2013 standard install.  I installed the KMS key and it picks up the users that have visio installed, but when i try to push the license it says "The Software Licensing Service reported that the application is running within the valid grace period."  I am trying o activate Visio that is installed on Windows 7 SP1 boxes.  I am not sure why the servers will be licensed but the Visio application will not.

I did just see that the Last Action Status says "The Software Licensing Service reported that the product could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information."  Again not sure why the servers are working as they should.

Sorry if this is an easy fix.  As i said i am very new to KMS.
