Exporting Data to Excel Template

When running the export wizard (I'm exporting data from Project 2013 to Excel) it asks me if I want to export to an excel template.   I think the answer is yes, i.e. I need to weekly export data to a standard report for the field to fill out and return so I can update the schedule.  In a perfect world I would format an excel template and then dump the data into the template weekly; however, I cannot figure how to access the correct template from the Export wizard.  Suggestions???

The export wizard is a bit misleading, in my opinion.  If you select "Project Excel Template" you are using a pre-defined, not editable template.  Instead, choose "Selected Data" and you can build your own export map or base the map on an existing table.

I hope this helps.
