I am trying to attach a document in SharePoint. I keep getting this error message.

My shared document is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Access Denied. Before opening files in this location, you must first add the website to your trusted sites list, browse to the web site, and select the option to login in automatically.

this message comes up randomly and I can't access SharePoint. I have it on my trusted site. I am the administrator.

Why is this happening? How do I fix this? It is happening across our whole organization (different times to different people) I logged into SharePoint, I select "say signed in" HELP!!!!

    Hello,

I went to Open Explorer, click on that and everything started working again. Can you give me any reason as to why this occurred in the first place. Like I said in an earlier email that the access denied error message happens to everyone in my organization at one time or another. I can be completely random when it stops working and when it starts working again. Thank you

    Hi Patty,

Thanks for your detailed clarification. Could you let us know if the issue occurs when you use "Open with explorer" function to drag a file into Outlook as attachment? This will help us identify whether the issue is related to local credential or the connection protocol between "File Explorer" and SharePoint.

    Thanks,

    Frank

[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/154/SharePointErrorMessage.docx:320:240]Through IE I was able to get SharePoint shared document folder pinned to my quick access. When I need to attached a document for example in Outlook. I click attach and it opens file Explore. I then click on Share Document which is linked to (\welskingdomworkers.sharepoint.com) full URL is (\welskingdomworkers.sharepoint.com@SSL\DavWWWRoot). this takes me to my SharePoint where I am able to select my file and attach it. The attached message is all I am getting today. It worked great for me last week, but my boss was not so lucky or happy he could not.

    Hi Patty,

To investigate the issue, please let us know some information:

    1. Does it happen to a different network environment?
    2. Does it happen to different documents/libraries/sites/site collections?
    3. How do you attach a document to SharePoint? For example, using a mapped network drive as the article mentioned below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2616712

    1. Also share a screenshot about the issue for our reference:

To upload screenshots, you can click Use rich formatting in the forum and then click the icon of Insert/Edit Media.

Please let us know the information for further help.

    Regards,

    Jim
