Visio 2016 Keeps crashing

Anonymous

I'll be working with Visio 2016 and it'll crash. I think it has to do with graphics issues as the faulting module is pointing to d3d11.dll. My PC is running WIndows 10 Pro and is patched to current.. Visio 2013 ran fine on this same machine. I have disabled the use of hardware acceleration for the other office products but don't see an option to do so for Visio 2016.

Hi Bill,

Based on my test, I am able to find the “Disable hardware acceleration” option on Visio 2016 by going to Visio 2016 > File > Options > under the Advanced tab, in the Display section.

If you are unable to find the option, you can try re-installing Visio 2016 to see if the option appears, or try to repair your Office application.

If the issue persists, we suggest posting on theVisio Technet forum which is dedicated to handling Visio client related issues for further assistance. Your understanding is appreciated.

Regards,

Sheen

Thanks. A repair did the trick.

EDIT: This is Visio 2016 from my corporate Office 365 account, same as the Office 2016 suite I'm running alongside it.
