A comprehensive suite of productivity tools and cloud services that enhance collaboration, communication, and efficiency. Combining classic Office apps with advanced Microsoft 365 features, it supports both personal and business needs
Hi Sheldon,
Please firstly make sure AutoRecover and AutoSave are turned on. Open one of the Office applications>File>Option>Save. To learn more, see Help protect your files in case of a crash.
The recovery pane automatically appears when you reopen a crashed file. So, if the features are turned on, you may open and edit the file for a test. Run Task Manager, close that Office application (End Task). Reopen the file to check if you can see Document recovery task pane.
Here is another article for your reference: Open a document after a file corruption error.
Moreover, as our forum focuses on Office 365 for Business Online services, if the issue persists, we suggest you post a new thread in our Office TechNet forum for further support. It’s a specific channel that handles Office applications usage related issues and questions.
Thanks for your understanding.
