Error when adding group to MDM policy

I am in the process of creating and testing MDM policy settings for my company. I was able to create a new device management policy. Under Deployment, if I select Yes, I am prompted to add a group. I first attempted to select one of the security groups which are synched from our on-premise AD. After adding the group and hitting save, the following error appears:

error:

Parameter cannot be resolved using the specified named parameters.

On the assumption that for some reason, groups which are synched from AD cannot be used here (even though they turn up in the search), I created a new group from the Admin Center and added a user to it. Adding this group to the policy resulted in the same error.

A search for this error returns only hits for PowerShell errors. What can be done to correct this problem?

Thanks for the suggestion. There is already a post to that forum with multiple reports of the same error.

    Hi Michael,

Microsoft offers MDM features to customers through the Windows Intune service. Office 365 introduces a subset of Windows Intune features in a new service that's called MDM for Office 365.

I would suggest you post this issue in our Microsoft Intune forum which is a specific support channel for Mobile Device Management related issues.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Regards,

    Ran

Never mind previous post. After saving a new MDM, I also get this error when attempting to make changes to it as well. I guess MDM policies must be created correctly with all settings on the first try. If you want to change it, delete it and make a new one. Is this by design??

After further testing, it appears I am unable to save any changes to the previously created policy. Once I created a new policy, there was no error adding a group or making changes. I'm still curious about this error.
