Using SPO cmdlets to import data into SharePoint Online

Attempting to use the SPOMigrationPackage PowerShell cmdlets to do some tests as to the viability of importing data into a SharePoint Online library. I am using the instructions provided here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt210445.aspx

My most recent attempt at migrating about 700MB of data did not initially produce any errors. However when I when into the Office 365 admin page and tried to view the status I got a popup error message saying the request failed due to an 'internal error' (screenshot attached). Using the Get-SPOMigrationJobStatus command returned no results at all. Attempted to run the Remove-SPOMigrationJob with the Target URL and the GUID and the only information returned was 'False'. Not sure how to interpret that. Maybe that my job could not be found?

As of right now the job is still showing a status of “Import in progress” with 0% complete. Been in that state for nearly four days now. Any idea of how I can terminate this job?

    1. do you migrate the data through network upload or by shipping drives?

i was attempting a network import.

    2. are the data stored in your local fileshare or a sharepoint server site?

data was stored in a local fileshare.

    3. by mentioning “the job is still showing a status of ‘import in progress’”, where do you check this? could you provide a related screenshot?

status is being display (still unchanged as of today) in the office 365 admin panel.

    Hi C. MichaelBaker,

For further investigating the issue with you, could you help clarify the following?

    1. Do you migrate the data through network upload or by shipping drives?

    2. Are the data stored in your local fileshare or a SharePoint Server site?

    3. By mentioning “the job is still showing a status of ‘import in progress’”, where do you check this? Could you provide a related screenshot?

Meanwhile, we need to collect some additional information. Could you provide the information in the private message I sent to you? You can access private messages via https://community.office365.com/en-us/user/conversations.
