I have shared a notebook using onenote 2016 with multiple sections with my colleagues in office. I have given them editable rights on the notebook since we need to writed shared notes with each other. HOwever, the section can get accidentaly or intentionally deleted by users. I want to let people edit notes but note delete sections i have created for them. Even the password protected sections get deleted by users who dont have the password.
This is a big issue and would appreciate if shared notebook user rights can be customized other than just editable and read only. please share the procedure or instructions of doing so.

It's not feasible to allow users to edit the notebook while preventing them from deleting a section. I would suggest you submit feedback via OneNote useroice. Your suggestions will help us improve our products.
