Hi - I would like to disable the cell movement animation in Excel 2016. This was also added in Excel Windows 2015 but could be disabled through advanced settings; there does not seem to be a similar option in the Mac version.
This "feature" is extremely frustrating as it materially slows navigating between cells. Can Microsoft please explain why it was included and why there is no way to disable it?

This is the worst feature ever!! so annoying i can't even describe it
Bob's solution really worked. But i found the necessary control of Excel 2016 at the following address.
File/Options/Advanced/General/Provide feedback with animation
Unselecting this option turned of the animation while jumping from one cell to another. Thanks Bob.
This is not correct - that option does not disable animation of the active selection highlight for Mac.
