Hi

We got a large number of computers, and we have an image with all standard applications on them which we use for new computers. Is it possible to use this process with Office?

Will office work after the image - with office already installed - is put on the new computer?

If so i guess i only have to log in as a user with an office 365 license (business Premium og E3) and then the office application will be activated?

Hi Gud_thor,

Yes, it is possible. Based on my research, there are several points that need to be taken into consideration:

  1. The Office apps that are included in the image should be downloaded from https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx  to ensure you can sign in with a licensed account for activation.
  2. When you install Office into the image, you may set the preferrence the way you want all comoputers to be set.
  3. Once the preferrence configuration are completed, you should remove licensed associated with your image computer by deactivating it in portal software page.
  4. While you process your image build, you must run sysprep(NEWSID) to remove system SID to aviod SID duplication for computers.
  5. After image are applied to computers and users try to sign in with Office 365 account, please note users' licenses should be the same with the account you used in the first step since for example business premium licensed users may not be able to activate Office 365 ProPlus.

Best Regards,

Vincent
